Well Positioned for Success in 2025
As we step into 2025, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the achievements that defined 2024 and share my optimism for the year ahead. Last year was marked by significant challenges and transformational successes that have positioned Genasys for a brighter future.
2024 hardware business achievements included:
Renewed international LRAD demand from European Naval customers, and militaries and police agencies in our Africa, Middle East, and APAC sales regions;
Record domestic LRAD law enforcement sales; and
Landing the $75 million Puerto Rico dams project.
Additionally, critical infrastructure protection and public safety projects, including the Hoover Dam, the Port of Houston, and the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe, showcased the versatile applications of our LRAD and ACOUSTICS products.
We also made significant progress in expanding our software business. The adoption of our Genasys Protect platform by Los Angeles County was a landmark achievement. Starting with EVAC, we expanded coverage to the entire county and followed with the implementation of ALERT to create a comprehensive, countywide communication platform. Similarly, our Genasys Protect award from the State of New Hampshire, and EVAC contracts from Oregon and Maui underscored the growing recognition of our emergency management solutions.
Throughout the world, our pipeline of opportunities continues to grow. From Hawaii to Florida, Puerto Rico and beyond, Genasys is quickly becoming a trusted partner in both the public and private sectors.
As we move ahead into 2025, I remain very optimistic about our trajectory. Thank you for your continued trust and support as we work to make people safer in an increasingly dangerous world.
Stay safe,
Richard Danforth

“By providing real-time information and coordination, Genasys Protect EVAC will empower our first responders and keep our community informed and safe, reinforcing our commitment to protecting every resident in times of crisis.”
Kristin Weivoda, Chief of Emergency Services, Yolo County
“During an emergency, community members need accurate, real-time information about safe evacuation routes and other important resources. I’m thrilled that the new Genasys Protect EVAC platform will provide this crucial information. Residents who sign up for Alert Yolo messages will be directed to use the Genasys Protect EVAC platform to stay informed about current emergencies. Los Angeles County Expands Emergency System with Genasys ALERT
Los Angeles County has signed a four-year contract to enhance public safety using Genasys ALERT for mass notification, complementing its existing EVAC system. This unified platform will serve 9.8 million residents and 50 million annual visitors, providing real-time data, intelligent evacuation zones, and multi-channel notifications during emergencies. Genasys ALERT replaces the county’s previous provider, offering advanced tools for disaster response and situational awareness across 4,000 square miles and 88 cities.
A year after the Lahaina wildfires devastated the island of Maui last August, the Maui Emergency Management Agency is updating its emergency preparedness and evacuation management systems to better protect residents and tourists from disasters.
Ken Kehmna, who serves as senior operations adviser to the Western Fires Chief Association, told StateScoop in a recent interview, “These tools give you the ability to sequence your evacuation, rather than just telling everybody to go. You can really be more surgical and much more precise about the information you share, which areas are under evacuation, and where people should be going.”
“Maui has a large tourist population, people who may not be familiar with the area. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively will help people make good decisions and potentially get them out of harm’s way,” Kehmna said.
